Chalkboard or Blackboard?

What do you call it? Chalkboard or Blackboard?

I remember in 1st/2nd grade the teachers always called it a chalkboard but later on in Middle School they called it a blackboard so I started just saying blackboard too. Besides if I remember right when I was in Elementary school the chalkboard was green and later on when they started remodeling the schools the boards were a darker brownish color.

I call it chalkboard. But I hear Blackboard a lot.

Chalkboard. But the interesting thing is... after 3rd grade we had boards that you write on with markers.

I liked those better anyway. Chalk always made a mess.

Yeah I have marker boards and I like them better.

the ones at my school are black, but the teacher gives us these little slates to do mental math on.

What we have is 16 small green slates, and 4 small dry erase boards. She also has a rolling cart with a dry erase board on both sides, and it comes in handy.
