Does anyone know of any way to rip AUDIO ONLY out of a DVD? I wanted to get a certain audio clip from "All in the Family".

I've done it with a stand alone cd-recorder. I hooked the dvd players' audio out to the cd-recorder's audio in jack, burned the audio onto a cd-rw then uploaded it to the comp as an mp3 file.
It's also easy to do if you have a DVD-ROM drive and an audio-editing program (I use CoolEdit Pro). All you have to do is simultaneously play the DVD on your computer and record using the audio-editing program. Just make sure there are no other programs running on your computer besides your DVD player and the audio-editing program.
I've burned many DVD-only concerts (Springsteen, McCartney; etc.) onto CD by doing this, and they've all turned out fine.
Hope that helps. Best of luck.
