I cannot believe this!!!

Last night, a girl went missing from a trailer park in Carroll County, Georgia. Her body was found about 10:30pm ET behind her trailer. She disappeared about 6pm ET while she was riding her bike to a neighbor's house(they live in the mobile home park too!).

Anyway, to make a long story short, they were searching for the killer today and tonight on the news, I just heard they arrested a 12-year-old boy!!! He reportedly STRANGLED HER!!! He apparently lives in the park too!

Well, that little boy certainly ruined his own life. How horrible (for the little girl, not him) why on earth would he do something like that? This world just keeps getting worse.

That is awful. When a little girl goes missing and is found murdered, you always expect the killer to be some old, creepy, disturbing guy. But when it's a 12 year old boy? That's insane. This boy probably had loads of emotional damage as it was and what with all of the recent kidnappings and murders of young girls, he was probably influenced in some way by those crimes. I'm just glad that they have him in custody now because he may have grown up to be a notorious serial killer and a lot more lives could've been in danger.

When I was 13 some psycho slightly older boy almost strangled me because, according to him, I looked like I was going to steal his bike. I was nowhere near the thing and had my own...weird kid. Anyway he came very close to killing me and probably would've if my friend hadn't ran and alerted her mom to what was happening. It was scary, I almost went unconscious and could feel myself slipping away all the time he had his hands around my neck. I was lucky I survived.

I don't know what goes through these crazy kids minds when they do stuff like this. I feel so sorry for that poor girl's family. :(

Some people have started a petition to try him as an adult. :(

They say he had been a troublemaker before(most boys are when they are 12), but nothing like this.

The District Attorney announced a short time ago he CANNOT be tried as an adult. Georgia Law wouldn't allow it. He will ONLY get IF found guilty TWO YEARS!!! meaning he will be free when he is 14!!! ohno: ohno:

My kids grew up in the 70's and I never really worried about them riding their bikes to their friend's houses. It's a different world today that's for sure!:(

Well when I was growing up in the late 80s-mid 90s it was safer even then. We'd stay outside playing until 11pm in the summer knowing that we were safe because the adults kept a watchful eye on us.

Today in my neighbourhood it's totally unsafe to go out after dark unless you are in a gang or something. I feel sorry for kids today. If you're not tough you're not safe really.
