Last week's episode had a plot involving a little frog-shaped trinket. Specifically, Lily starts out thinking that frog-themed stuff is too childish to be an appropriate gift from her grandfather...but changes her tune when she learns that one of them was worth $400.
Could the frog have been intended to symbolize something? After all, GFL is on the WB network, and that network's mascot is a frog. Could there be a hidden meaning about GFL changing networks from Fox to WB. Maybe it's saying that although a move to the WB has a reputation for harming a show (Sabrina, anyone?), in GFL's case it had the result of getting the show to make a lot of money.
I know the show's rationale was that it's a pun based on Lily's name, but still. They could have chosen anything, but made it a frog. Coincidence?
