Gay Lovers Climb Tree, Then Have Sex
By MADISON J. GRAY
Associated Press Writer
NEW YORK (AP) -- Two gay lovers - a man in a black dress and a boy in only a pair of shorts - protested their families' lack of understanding for their relationship by climbing a Central Park tree on Thursday, stripping, performing lewd acts in front of onlookers and refusing to come down for hours.
The lovers, ages 32 and 17, scaled the 55-foot larch tree next to the Chess and Checkers House around 4 p.m., said Detective John Sweeney, a police department spokesman.
The couple had told the boy's parents about their relationship and been rebuked, police said.
The man played on branches near the top of the tree and waved at onlookers while the boy sat quietly a few feet below him. Police said the man later performed oral sex on the boy and stripped down to a thong to taunt them.
Police were alerted to the mischief when an onlooker flagged down a bicycle officer. When Emergency Services Unit officers responded, "the two individuals began to shout obscenities to the approaching officers, threatening to push the officers down and throw branches at them in an effort to ward the officers off," police Inspector William Callahan said.
The two were in danger of falling because the tree's largest branches were only 4 inches thick and couldn't support their weight for long, said police, who set up an inflatable safety mat on the ground.
Police negotiators who went up the tree to talk the couple down gave them soft drinks and water. A crowd of about 100 onlookers stood nearby.
After about five hours, police put harnesses on the lovers and began to lure them down. The names of the lovers were not immediately released.
The couple were taken to a hospital for evaluation, and Callahan said arrests and criminal charges depended on the outcomes of those evaluations.
No one was injured in the bizarre Earth Day stunt, Callahan said.
"When I heard they were in a tree," he said, "I figured it was very fitting."

Hundreds say goodbye to Dru
By PATRICK HOWE, Associated Press Writer
NISSWA, Minn. -- When Dru Sjodin went missing, thousands of searchers slogged through frozen ditches and swamps to look for her. On Saturday, hundreds gathered to say goodbye.
About 500 mourners packed a resort lodge in Nisswa, one of the few places in the northern Minnesota area large enough to hold such a crowd, while about 1,000 more filled two overflow tents to pay tribute to the University of North Dakota student.
Friends and family members entered the hall on a cobblestone path strewn with yellow and pink rose petals. Pallbearers followed with Sjodin's silver casket, some barely able to contain their grief.
Sjodin, who grew up in nearby Pequot Lakes, was found dead April 17, five months after she disappeared from a Grand Forks, N.D., shopping mall parking lot. A convicted rapist is charged with kidnapping her.
The Rev. Mark Anderson told mourners that the community moved from shock when Sjodin disappeared to anger to fear.
"Lastly, we became a community of sorrow," he said.
"We are here to begin the process of saying farewell to Dru," he said. "It's not a one-day shot."
Sjodin, 22, was recalled as a young woman with a generous heart and an infectious spirit.
"Dru lived a too-short life, but during that time she touched more people's hearts than some do in a lifetime," said Celia Baker, one of four of Sjodin's friends who spoke at the service.
Others talked about being impressed with the public attention paid to the case and said they hoped part of Sjodin's legacy will be renewed attention to finding other missing people.
Several law enforcement officers were among the mourners, including some who had helped search for Sjodin.
Strangers who attended the service said they felt they'd come to know her through the constant news coverage of her disappearance, the search, and the discovery of her body a week ago in a wooded ravine near Crookston.
Many expressed the same sentiment -- relief that Sjodin had finally been brought home.
After months of fearing the worst, Friday's wake and Saturday's funeral and burial granted Sjodin's friends and family a formal outlet for their grief.
Mourners received pine saplings wrapped in a pink ribbon, Sjodin's favorite color. Clutching one, family friend Kevin Medrano of Maple Grove said, "This will get planted in the back yard."
"Something good has to come out of this," he said, his voice quivering. "Maybe we'll have a Dru's Law, where they don't let people out that do these kinds of crimes."
Indeed, the arrest of convicted sex offender Alfonso Rodriguez Jr. spurred lawmakers to propose longer sentences for those convicted of sex crimes. And Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty invoked Rodriguez in a call to reinstate the death penalty in Minnesota.
Rodriguez was released from prison in May after serving a 23-year sentence for attempted kidnapping and assault and previous convictions for attempted rape and aggravated rape. He has pleaded not guilty to the kidnapping charge in the Sjodin case and remains jailed in Grand Forks.
Pawlenty and North Dakota Gov. John Hoeven were among those in attendance Saturday.
Sjodin was buried in Pinewood Cemetery in Crosslake. After the service at the grave site, which is between three pine trees, Sjodin's mother, Linda Walker, released a white dove. Family members lay a pink daisy on top of the casket, and many of them bent down to kiss the casket as they left.

Absolutely should they never be released. I may be from Texas, but I don't believe in the death penalty. Why the hell should they have it anyway? They keep the criminals locked up FOREVER, and then they have them put to death several years down the road. Why not keep them locked up so they can suffer.. Seems too easy for them to die. Another thing that pisses me off is that the criminals have all the rights while the true victim is crapped on.

YEAH! Pass this law on up to ND! PLEASE!
Louisiana May Ban Low-Slung Pants
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) -- People who wear low-slung pants that expose skin or "intimate clothing" would face a fine of up to $500 and possible jail time under a bill filed by a Jefferson Parish lawmaker.
State Rep. Derrick Shepherd said he filed the bill because he was tired of catching glimpses of boxer shorts and G-strings over the lowered belt lines of young adults.
The bill would punish anyone caught wearing low-riding pants with a fine of as much as $500 or as many as six months in jail, or both.
"I'm sick of seeing it," said Shepherd, a first-term legislator. "The community's outraged. And if parents can't do their job, if parents can't regulate what their children wear, then there should be a law."
The bill would be tacked onto the state's obscenity law, which restricts sexual activity in public places and the sale of sexually explicit items.
Joe Cook, head of the American Civil Liberties Union's Louisiana chapter, said the bill probably does not meet the U.S. Supreme Court's standard for the prohibition of obscene behavior under the First Amendment.
"What about a woman who is wearing a bathing suit under her garment or she has something like a sarong wrapped around her and it's below her waist," he said. "I can think of a lot of workers, plumbers, who are working and expose their buttocks ..."

There are times (many times) where I find myself for it. It just makes me so angry knowing that they're put in prison.. and then they're out. Free! Why in the world would you do something like that? There's a serial killer down here who has made it very clear, that if he's let out - he WILL kill again. There's no question in his mind. Yet they're supposed to be releasing him soon. Part of me would like to see them wiped clear off this planet. Just take them out. Be done with it. And then I also feel they should sit there in their cells, and suffer. Every single day.

The courts system is messed up if they're going to release someone who vows he'll kill again. If you kill anybody other then self defense, you should rot.

Very messed up. It blows my mind! He's warning them, letting them know that it will happen. He's not going to walk out of there a changed man. He wants to do it, and he will. If they don't listen to him - shame, shame SHAME on them. It scares the hell out of me. He's killed many women right here in Houston, and out of state. I agree that if you kill someone, and it's not in self defense, you should definately rot.

She stands in the middle of the living room and howls/sings for no reason. (I'm always upstairs when she does this...so she must do it when nobodys home)
When she runs she skips. So prissy.
She sings to the squeek of her toys.
She hates wrinkles. So if shes laying on a blanket she smoothes the wrinkles out with her paws.
She punches. She punched my boyfriend in the mouth and he actually bled.
She whines...constantly. Loud. People will come over and go 'was that the dog?"
She has peed in her own water bowl
She likes to eat christmas ornament balls.
She can play fight..(if there are other dogs around) for about 6 hours staight (maybe more) . She wears every other dog out with her constant punching and swatting.
She seems to prefer the taste of her own poop
This my favorite. If shes excited she runs around the coffee table at full blown speed. She will run around it about 15 times in a row. It is the funniest thing ever to see.
My dog is insane..and shes only a year old. Runt of the litter, Really small for a Boxer. Shes a spoiled brat...loves carnivals and going to feed the ducks.

I can't blame you. I'd sure feel sour if the last movie I saw was "Daredevil."
Speaking of sour.."Passion of the Christ" made me absolutely queezy. On the way home, some guy driving in front of us opened his door like 4 times at a stop light to vomit. I wonder what movie he just went and saw...?
Hidalgo was the last movie I saw though..saw it twice actually. It's pretty good.

I saw a LOT of movies between 1993 to 1996.
-Aladdin
-Free Willy
-Iron Will
-Cool Runnings
-Casper
-The Flintstones
-Santa Clause
-The Babysitters Club (that one was the MOST hyped movie among kids my age when it came out in '95 -- the theater was FULL and I encountered a few other girls wearing the exact same BSC shirt I was wearing after it ended)
-Jumanji
-Flubber (taht was probably 1997...)
There's probably more...But I don't remember tham all.

When you go to the random board (or user cp), you can check there by clicking on the number of posts for this thread. A little window will pop up, then it'll bring up the stats.

Ahh, it's just the Barney Miller DVD Dad got with his box of Total. All my copies of his movies are on VHS.
Ah, yes, Ronnie Baby and those hookers ... they keep mentioning Wojo's thing for fallen women, but how come they never pick on Ron's very similar attarctions? {Did that even make sense?:confused: }

BTW, Hamha, Allison! Harris never went for the hookers..that picky son of a bitch; he was more drawn to the D.A. types or that woman (Alex Krammer) who played the homicide photographer..or that black nurse who couldnt stand his ass:lol: or the unseen Regina Gregory who was mentioned in two episodes....I wonder if that was somebody's girlffriend in real life?
