I don't consider myself a dedicated Steve harvey show watcher... Can someone answer this question for me...How did the show explain Romeo leaving... or did they even have time to address this.?

If you're talking about in terms of Merlin Santana's death, the show was already finished by the time he was murdered. If you mean what happened with the character, I don't remember. Probably either college (!) or a job.

"The Steve Harvey show" went off the air in Febuary 2002, Merlin Santana died in the fall of 2002. At the time of his death, the syndication reruns of "The Steve Harvey Show" dedicated the rerun they were airing to him. I think all of the syndicators aired the same episode that featured the Romeo character.

His last appearance on t.v was as a singer on the UPN show Half and Half.
