Hi, I am new to the boards and just wondering if this show is on here at all or what section would it be in? Thanks

At the present time, You Can't Do That On Television is not
represented anywhere on these boards, but I think it would fit in with 1980s sitcoms.

I can't speak for the admins but I think YCDTOTV qualifies as a sketch comedy. There is a board on the main page devoted to sketch comedies, variety shows, talk shows, and late night TV.

BTW, I just LOVED this show when I was little. I would watch it all the time when it aired on Nickelodeon in the late 80s until 1993 (when it went off the air). It hasn't been aired on TV since then except for several instances. In 1996, Nickelodeon aired the Alanis Morissette episodes on a one-time only event spotlighting the then-popular singer. An episode made it's way into the U-Pick thing on Nick a few years ago.

I really miss this show. It was Nickelodeon's signature show. I've seen several episodes that ycdtotv.com posted a couple years back and it brought back memories. Nickelodeon and Nick at Nite was at its best in the 80s and early 90s. This was one of the best shows they had at the time.

The old Nick shows (late 80s, early 90s) were so much better than all the crap they put on now. My favorite Nick show was Salute Your Shorts. It is represented on the boards in the 90s Sitcom Section. All the game shows were fun too (Nick Arcade, Double Dare, etc.)

I really wish Nick would bring out another station devoted to all the stuff from the 80's and early 90's. They have plenty to show with endless Double Dare episodes to everything else they have. I mean they have NickGAS which I don't get and am very upset as a Time Warner employee and getting free cable but no Nick Gas!! :(

A classic Nick channel would be perfect. But even if they did air all those shows I loved as a kid, it wouldn't be the same to me. But it would be satisfaction, though.
