'Jim' heading to 8 Tribune outlets
Buena Vista deal cements laffer in top markets
NEW YORK -- Tribune, which lost "Everybody Loves Raymond" to Fox, has gained "According to Jim."
Deal with distributor Buena Vista encompasses eight Tribune stations in the top markets, which were made available first.
WPIX/New York, KTLA/Los Angeles, WGN/Chicago, WPHL/Philadelphia, WLVI/Boston, KDAF/Dallas, WATL/Atlanta and KHWB/Houston stations have committed to the ABC laffer for fall 2006.
Split will be 5½ minutes to the station and 1½ to the distrib.
Buena Vista sold reruns of "My Wife & Kids" to Tribune last year for a Fall 2005 start. Buena Vista will be looking to sell "8 Simple Rules..." next year.
