To me, the meanest thing was silents. My friend just sat there, and said nothing. Believe me, that is not a good feeling.

Mine was, " Is that the stupid show where the girls never leave the kitchen?"I said yes they did. He replied I never saw leave the kitchen.

One night I was watching the show and, believe it or not, I fell asleep. The next day at work, my friend asked me what I had done the night before. I told her I was really exhausted. I said "I was watching Fact of Life, and I fell asleep." She said, "Well, I'd be pretty worried if you said you were watching FOL and you started jumping up and down and the excitement of the show kept you up all night." Now, she did not know what a fan I am of the show. I was pretty shocked that she said that because sometimes when I watch a particularly good episode, that is exactly what I do!
