When reading this article it appears that next season may be the last for 7th Heaven. Did anyone else get this impression???

The article was about how Tyler is an athlete in real life (he plays baseball) and also an actor and how he will at some point have to choose between the two. This quote was in the article - "We created the role knowing that dimension is part of Tyler's life" says 7th Heaven executive producer Brenda Hampton. "At some point, probably when the show ends next year, Tyler will have to make a big decision." I was not sure if she meant when the show ends for good next year or if she meant when it ends for the season.

I checked out TV Tome - they say next year is the last year. (I hope they're wrong) As for reasons as to why they would end the show next year I can think of two. Next year they will hit the 200 episode mark (I'm sure this means something in the TV business) Also, the ratings might be going down since 3 out of the 5 original Camden kids have left home. I personally liked the show better when all the original kids were regularly on the show. I don't like the new cast members as much.

I read somewhere that at the end of the 7th season I think George and Stephen signed on for two more seasons, which would make it season 9. And next year will be the 9th season. I heard that the 9th season will be the last one too. I think The show should wrap up soon. I used to love 7th Heaven so much, but recently it has gotten so old and the writing is just not what it used to be. I will be sad to see it go, but I think it is a smart decision because that way people can remember the show for how good it was (Well it used to be anyway), and not "the show that enver ended". That's why the show should have ended a few seasons back, or they should have gotten better writers. Besides the longer it runs the less people are going to watch it, and the corner it is going to get. I would also like to see the cast in other roles too. I know I made it sound like I am not a fan of 7th Heaven, trust me I am, it's just time to let go.
