I don't like Randy, but atleast he has an opinion of his own. Paula says whatever he says in most cases, so I am going to have to go with her.

Randy: Is like the cuddly teddy bear even though he has been harder this year than the last two AI's combine but is sweet and funny.
Paula: Traffic cop to both Randy and Simon and can take on the good cop/bad cop role but is fine and has been there done that.
Simon: Though you love to hate him/or hate to love him he brings on sex appeal to the show and without him the show would go down south.

Randy is the only true "critic" of the group, but he is also the least entertaining. So I would have to say Randy.

they all work out really well together.
Randy is constructive, Paula is nice, Simon is cruel.
If we had 3 cruel judges, or 3 nice judges, it would be boring

I like all 3 judges and I don't want any of them to go.

The judges have the best chemistry of any people I've ever seen. If I had to choose to kick one off, it would be Randy, but it's perfect just the way it is.

Randy is annoying. I hate how he does that thing with his hands all the time...

I'd say Randy because the other two go good together the way they disagree. He also agrees with Paula's opinon and you don't need both of them.

Paula because she uses what Randy says and is very two-faced. She goes on about how Jasmine should stay and America should forgive her on Tuesday night, but then bawls when La Toya leaves. Who did Paula think was going to leave last Tuesday??? Same with John Stevens. She goes on about how she loves him on the show and then went on Good Day Live expressing how she doesn't think he should still be there! And she also picked Leah over Suzy for her wild card; I am still not over that.
Randy, to me, gives the contestants the best advice. If he would drop at least some of his ridiculous ebonics he might be a little bit more understandable and get more respect as a judge. He doesn't sugarcoat and he doesn't go off topic. He sticks to the singing and performance.
Simon, however, prefers to dig into the contestants in an over-the-top and cruel way. Most of America falls for the show's trap and loves to watch the show just to hear what Simon has to say next. I prefer Simon most when he is just being honest about their singing (like last Tuesday when he told Diana he had respect for the way she controlled the song, or last year when he told Josh Gracin that he sang the entire song through his nose). Unfortunately, it takes those ridiculous antics of his to get a large portion of the audience to watch. It's not what I find entertaining about the show at all, but to each his own.

I agree 100%. Paula's way too nice. It seems like she has to say something good about everyone, even when they give a horrible performance. And thats good sometimes, but it's just ridiculous when she has nothing better to say but "You're just beautiful" or something. Now who did she want to leave? I never noticed the thing about La Toya and Jasmine until you brought it up, but wow, how dumb on her part...and I agree, she definitely should have picked Suzy. Randy and Simon made good choices with Jennifer and George, but LEAH? Suzy would probably make it far if she were in the finals. She just needs to be more honest. However, her comments are a nice relief to the contestants after Randy and Simon actually tell them their flaws I guess.

I think I'm going to write to Paula myself and ask why she chose Leah. I listened to Suzy's other performance (Unbreak My Heart) and she did exceptionally well on that song, too! The only thing I can guess about why she selected Leah is probably because she had potential. She didn't make it into the Top 3 in the Semifinals (I don't even think she was good enough if I remember correctly), she was mediocre in the Wild Card and worse in the encore. But meanwhile there is Suzy and she gave not one but two great performances in Group 4 and the Wild Card. We've got a star right there and she passed her up. Elizabeth Letendre was also good in her two performances and tons better than Leah. Now that I think about it, I will write to her and ask. But if she gets a lot of fan mail, I probably won't hold my breath for a response.

Someone made the comment a couple months ago that Paula voted Leah through just to spite Simon.
Simon never liked Leah, and told Paula "If you want her to go through, you'll have to put her through yourself"...and she did.

I don't agree with everyone's Paula bashing. What kind of a show would it be if she was mean and truthful to them? The poor kids would cry their faces off. At least they have Paula to make themselves feel better. I do agree that if she didn't like it, she should say, but I wouldn't be able to say they were bad either.
And anyways, she said on Conan that all of the bad performances build up inside of her and she wakes up screaming, "You suck!!"
Randy, I like. Even his "dawg" and "aight". Haha.
Simon can get on my nerves. But I like him. Just not when he's speculated to be dating Paula. Or tickling her.

I wouldn't want her to be mean to them. But she should be honest with them, tell them like it is and put it in a nice manner. She's always good at being nice about stuff so I think she can be nice and honest.

If it's REALLY bad, she'll say, "It wasn't your best" but then back it up with something nice.
I heart Paula :biglove:

Me too :D
Yeah, the contestants would be pretty depressed if it weren't for her.
