Family Ties Gone From The Hallmark Channel Starting Monday; Classic Children's Series Back in Syndication This Fall
Family Ties joined The Hallmark Channel not even 3 weeks ago and now it is getting the boot. Low ratings has been the speculation once again for this sitcom. The sitcom has never found an audience on cable after a great run on NBC. Hallmark will replace the sitcom starting Monday (Feb. 13) with another episode of Little House on the Prairie. I don't think Hallmark had a similar show as a lead-in to Family Ties. They really need more sitcoms besides M*A*S*H. While this move is certainly not a surprise to us, but it will leave fans upset once again. It's time for this show to come to DVD so we can give a rest to see the show doing bad on cable. It would have been at least better if Hallmark would have moved it to Saturday mornings, but they just removed it all together.
