I'm Back; TCA Winter Press Tour: Cable Networks Edition

Well, I'm back! Todd did a wonderful job filling in the 2+ plus weeks that I was away for. He brought some great scoops to the table such as Family Ties coming to the Hallmark Channel, previewed some of the mid-season sitcoms such as Crumbs, Four Kings and Emily's Reasons Why Not, and he also brought news from the DVD world.

The TCA Winter Press Tour started today. The cable networks are first up. Here is a breakdown of the networks involved:

* Tuesday, January 10
Disney Channel, Scripps Networks, BET, National Geographic Channel, TV One, Oxygen, Current, E! Entertainment Television
* Wednesday, January 11
Court TV, BBC America, Lifetime, The Weather Channel, Rainbow Networks, MTV Networks
* Thursday, January 12
Hallmark Channel, A&E Networks, SoapNet, Sundance Channel, ESPN, NBCU Cable, GSN
* Friday, January 13
Discovery Networks, HDNet, FX, HBO, The Biography Channel

The networks will announce their programming plans, both original and acquired. Some of the things to expect are details of the new TV Land three-part special That's What I'm Talking About and all the original movies with big name stars on the Hallmark Channel. TV Land is also will unveil what is coming sitcoms wise in 2006 besides Benson (which is in June). So stay tuned, it should be a fun week!
