More on TV One Fall; Final Part for Week Long Paramount TV DVD Feature
TV One has released a press release stating that they have acquired sitcom Amen and drama New Uork Undercover from Universal. We knew about Amen, since we knew it was going to air 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.the week of Sept. 26, part of the comedy kick-off week marathon, paired with 227. Amen will then move and air weeknights at 6:30 p.m. ET starting October 3. New York Undercover will air at 9 p.m. and 12 a.m. If there are any other further changes to the TV One line-up starting Oct. 3, I will certainly let you know! Now for the final part of our week long Paramount TV DVD feature. Today we head on to good 'ole days of rural television--in Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. We heard some things already about this next show from TVShowsonDVD.com that it is coming on DVD, but I think this show has a big enough following that I should reiterate it and give further information. It is now been confirmed that this is indeed coming from Paramount! Paramount has targeted an early first quarter release, possibly in late January. So golly that is not too far away! Of the four shows I have found out about, this one will probably be the first release of the four. So, some have asked, are these four shows the only new shows they will be releasing on DVD? Answer: I highly doubt that. So fans of other shows such as Webster, Family Ties, Moesha, Bosom Buddies, Dear John, Beverly Hills 90210, and The Odd Couple don't dispair, it doesn't mean your favorite shows are not in the works.
Stay tuned this weekend for features on The Emmy Awards and the Network Fall Line-Up!
